Fighting for Equity in a Polarized America

In a fireside chat, Valerie Jarrett and journalist Jonathan Capehart will discuss engaging communities in the fight for racial equity and fighting for low-income women and people of color. Valerie has been fighting to advance the interests of women and people of color over the course of her entire career, both as a public servant advising President Barack Obama and in the public sector through her roles on the Boards of companies like Walgreens and Lyft. They will explore the challenges facing these communities and how there are very real steps we can take as a nation to pursue equity for all. Venue: Hilton Austin Downtown Salon C
