"It's easy to run a clinical trial!" said nobody, ever. A single deviation from a study's protocol can lead to an FDA audit. COVID forced a massive shift in healthcare towards digital care, but what happened to ongoing cancer research clinical studies requiring non-socially-distanced appointments, lab testing and medication administration? The UX Design team and Clinical Research team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center partnered together to quickly adapt the oncology clinical trial experience during COVID and rethink the future of digitized clinical trials.
