DeafLed Deaf Entrepreneurs: Stories that Change Perception

An inside look at the nation's first venture fund for Deaf-owned and operated businesses that enhance the social and economic standing of the Deaf community. We’ll tell you the story of CSD Social Venture Fund: its genesis; its goal of changing societal attitudes and perceptions about Deaf people; an introduction to our partnering entrepreneurs, their successes and impact; and how we’re changing the face of venture capital by investing in Deaf entrepreneurs. This conversation will broaden how you think about entrepreneurship, diversity, and leadership, as well as emphasize the value of investing in underrepresented communities. We’ll discuss our rationale for investing in varying stages of development and demonstrate how social-minded companies can amplify and accelerate change in society.
