Ecocide Law: How 200 Words Might Save the Planet

It’s obvious on a moral and intuitive level that destroying our planet should be an international crime. Enter: the watershed new crime of ecocide. It’s the first international crime slated to place severe or disproportionate environmental harm on the same level as other international crimes like genocide or crimes against humanity, and to hold corporate or government leaders individually responsible for their choices by connecting them to the outcomes of their decisions.
