Guerrilla Tactics & Asymmetric Political Activism-Featured Session

The world of technology and politics is emerging as a volatile, dangerous, yet potentially democratizing mixture that can bring more voices and ideas to the forefront. Centering around the gadfly presidential candidacies of Senator Mike Gravel, Marianne Williamson, and Andrew Yang, the panel will discuss lessons learned from their 2020 asymmetrical campaigns, which used social media, film, and provocative progressive language to shift the Overton Window of what is acceptable discussion in democratic politics. The three generations of activists discuss their evolving guerrilla efforts needed to solve the climate crisis, fight the war machine, win elections, and save our democracy.
