Laura Lee & the Jettes

Location: Half Step Having shared the stage with one other in her previous incarnation Gurr, Berlin artist Laura Lee created her new solo project Laura Lee & the Jettes during the pandemic in 2020. Surrounding herself with some of Berlin's finest musicians, Lee's new project strikes some more mature and underground tones but keeping its pop sensibilities. Influenced, among others, by German krautrock legends such as Neu! And Can, Lee explains: "It's insane how influential these bands were on so many great American acts while they remain still so unknown in German mainstream music." Despite their short lifespan, the band quickly went on to perform at Germany's Reeperbahn Festival and for the cult music television show WDR Rockpalast in 2020 before recording their debut album "Wasteland" in early 2021 with producer Max Rieger. The album will be released on 26th November 2021 via Duchess Box Records.
