Since the founding of the New York Stock Exchange in 1817, fewer than 40 companies have been taken public by a woman — one woman roughly every 7 years. While this is just one indicator, it’s glaring: we have not made enough progress toward equality in workplace leadership. Backing women means more than allocating capital to female founders — it's support for lifestyle choices, dismantling of biased networks, normalizing parental leave (for men and women), and taking action in getting women into authority roles — especially in industries dominated by men, like tech. Agreeing that we need to fund more women is just the first step.
