Location: The Venue ATX Shiela is a Latin-Pop-RnB singer-songwriter from Austin, Texas who draws on Mexican and Nicaraguan roots to make people dance. Her Spanish and English lyrics intertwine to soulfully paint the tensions and emotions of growing up. Shiela first learned to play music in Nicaragua during childhood visits to her family. She remembers watching the Selena movie for the first time and holds tightly to the fire it lit within her. Drawing inspiration from Rosalia, Kali Uchis, and Selena--the Austin City Limits 2021 Performer craves crossover success.
