Time: TBA Location: Hotel Vegas Trucha Soul is live cumbia DJ experience, Latin vinyl label, archive research project and sound system. As one of Austin’s only standing Latino music-focused vinyl imprints, the label features specialty artist collaborations and rare releases from Texas, Mexico and beyond. Through vinyl digging trips to Mexico and around Texas the label's direction of shining light on forgotten stories, music and musicians, came to be. Our live DJ sets are inspired by Mexico City "sonidero" style, emcee DJs who are a historic pillar of their communities often bringing barrios together to dance cumbia in the streets with big productions, vintage sound systems and vinyl.
