Touring in Alternative Venue Spaces

Generating an audience is difficult without the help of industry gatekeepers, and it's nearly impossible to win the gatekeepers without a built-in audience. Artists find themselves attempting viral social posts to gain an audience rather than working on their craft and touring. Whereas traditional touring requires a benchmark of sales to mitigate the prohibitive overhead, touring in intimate off-the-grid spaces can yield a much higher return — both financially and artistically — allowing emerging artists to leave a deep and meaningful impact in touring markets, even if their footprint is small in scope.
