Venue: Swan Dive Advertisement is a six-piece rock band based in Los Angeles and Seattle. Drawing together a range of styles and sensibilities, from the hypnotic layering of krautrock to the frail emotional states of Laurel Canyon pop, the molly-burnt humor of the Happy Mondays to the morbid campiness of Roxy Music, Advertisement brings a playful, collaged approach to contemporary guitar driven music. Their debut LP, "American Advertisement," was championed by NME as, "one of the best debut albums to come out of the US in 2020." Since the release of "American Advertisement," Advertisement has stayed busy, releasing a new EP, "Freedom," in the summer of 2021, and the single "The Matador" through Fire Talk Records' subsidiary Open Tab. Well-regarded for their energetic and free-form live performances, Advertisement has shared the stage with such acts as Sheer Mag, Protomartyr, Spiritual Cramp, Narrow Head, and more.
