Venue: Flamingo Cantina Kalpee is a rising artist from Trinidad & Tobago & part of a new generation of Caribbean musicians pushing a fresh tropical sound aptly named “New Kalypso”. Pulling from his heritage, Kalpee delivers a modern fusion of Calypso, dancehall & reggae rhythm, laced with rock inspired guitar riffs, supported by soulful melodies & a captivating r&b vocal delivery. “Music that you could easily head bop too, but still make you feel to take a drive down North Coast Road (In Trinidad) on an evening at sunset time” if you ask Kalpee. In 2020 with Covid having shut the world down, Kalpee pioneered, the "Island Wave" stage, a platform dedicated to bringing music of the Caribbean to the fore front of the international music scene which continues to grow.
