Numerous tributaries feed Ladybird Lake in Downtown Austin. Barton Creek daylights just West of the Downtown where the gift of water begins to give back to the City in numerous and important ways. The lake culminates at Longhorn Dam but not before passing under the Congress Bridge, where each night at sunset millions of small Mexican free-tailed bats take flight. In this mixed-reality exhibition, that combines real urban life with augmented reality artworks, artists created original works that reflect on the cultural, environmental, contemplative, recreational, and political nature of this body of water and its surroundings, including Downtown Austin.
