Smart contract wallets are becoming ever more popular across Ethereum, however, they are still second-class citizens at the protocol level. Account Abstraction aims to solve this by allowing smart contracts to initiate transactions. EIP-4337, a novel proposal, provides an elegant and forward-compatible way of achieving this without requiring any consensus-level changes. Kristof Gazso will present why we need Account Abstraction and how EIP-4337 will help us get there.
