For the first time since the pandemic, business flight bookings have exceeded 2019 levels, a key milestone in the recovery, according to the Mastercard Economics Institute. Destinations are evolving with long-haul leisure travel nearing pre-pandemic levels. Buses, cruises and trains are also seeing an uptick in bookings. Travellers are also returning to spending on experiences like restaurants and recreational activities rather than things.
