Location: The Belmont The MetaGala is Consensus' inaugural red carpet event bringing together culture, crypto, and a little bit of fashion. Join us for this exclusive, formal party and social event at The Belmont on Saturday, June 11, from 8-10 PM to raise money in support of blockchain education charities working with youth and underserved communities to train the next class of creative thinkers, developers and entrepreneurs. Attendees will slip among multiple realities to engage with each other, party, show off and show up for a good cause. A charity auction of select non-fungible tokens (NFT) from known artists will also be held, as well as an awards ceremony recognizing those doing good in the crypto industry. All proceeds from the event will benefit select CoinDesk partner charities via The Giving Block that are focused on education, including Code to Inspire, Girls Who Code, Crypto Tutors and Crypto Kids Camp. Our key host committee partners include nft now, Meltem Demirors of CoinShares, Andrew Wang, Dave Krugman, Keith Grossman, Diana Sinclair, Megan Kaspar of Red DAO and others from the crypto community. Hosted in one of America’s most vibrant and rebellious cities, Consensus will ignite hard-hitting conversations and spark critical debates on how these technologies and communities are remaking the worlds of finance, investing, culture, entertainment, marketing, governance and more. This is a separate ticketed event for in-person attendance, though it will be virtually open to all through metaverse partners.
