With the first trust-minimized Bitcoin bridge prototypes successfully tested at the end of last year - all powered by BitVM - we now expect to see testnet and mainnet releases in 2025. This paves the way for Bitcoin DeFi to start closing the gap. Currently Bitcoin’s TVL is just 0.3% of its market cap, compared to 20% for Solana and 30% for Ethereum.
