ZuVillage Georgia. Week 4 This track is for founders and fans of parallel societies, parallel services and parallel institutions and for people who want to form a parallel establishment. New companies and currencies were built on the internet. Can new countries be next? How can decentralized AI, Crypto and Social tech influence the future of governance? Balaji Srinivasan in his book The Network State proposes a manual instead of a manifesto. Anyone with a laptop and a moral innovation can launch a startup society. A highly-aligned community capable of collective action can form a network union. Fragments of this cloud community can be "printed out" into the physical world, forming a network archipelago of crowdfunded real estate properties connected online and on-chain. A network state is the final stage, when such community gains diplomatic recognition from a pre-existing sovereign. Speakers in this track will explore the progress of startup societies (see TNS Dashboard and TNS Conference 2023 playlist) and specific ideas, niches and moral innovations that are currently underrepresented or missing but could be the adjacent possible of an emerging network state scene. Where is the greatest need for startup societies and what decentralized technologies and tools are the most promising?
